Stress Awareness & Management

Overview

This online Stress Awareness & Management Training course has been designed for all levels of staff to complete in order to help them identify and prevent stress in the workplace.

The CPD Accredited and IOSH Approved eLearning course takes 30 minutes to complete and is followed up with a 20 question test that provides a printable certificate upon completion.

Learning Outcomes

In this course you will learn:

  • What stress is and how to identify it.
  • How stress affects the mind and body.
  • Techniques for preventing or reducing stress.

Course Contents

This course consists of three sections:

Section 1: understanding stress

Section 1 provides an introduction to stress that covers what it is, where it comes from, and how it affects the body and mind. This includes the science behind stress responses such as fight or flight.

Section 2: identifying stress

Section 2 explains some common responses to stress and how to recognise it from changes in how you feel and behave. Everybody reacts to stress differently, but there are common effects, such as physical tension, that you will be able to see in yourself and others.

Section 3: reducing and preventing stress

Section 3 looks at the ways stress can be managed, identifying techniques for reducing stressors as well as relieving the symptoms when stress levels are already high.

About the Course

 

Stress might seem like an inevitable part of daily life, but it can cause incredible damage to a person’s physical and mental wellbeing. The Stress Awareness training course is designed to help employees at all levels to identify symptoms of stress at work, and alleviate or prevent it where they can. 

This course is split into three sections to explain the science behind stress and the effects it can have, as well as how to identify it in yourself and others. It concludes by examining ways in which unnecessary stress can be prevented, as well as advice for how to reduce the symptoms of stress when they do occur.

Available in 31 languages, the course takes around 30 minutes to complete.
