Risk Assessment Training
Risk assessments are essential for ensuring that any incidents that have previously occurred do not occur again. Organisations must undertake risk assessments to show their commitment to The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999.
This online training course teaches the user about the 5 steps of a risk assessment, as well as how to create a plan of action for the hazard you find. Additionally, the course teaches the user when they should fill out a risk assessment and when they are not necessary.
In this course you will learn:
- How to prepare a risk assessment in five steps.
- How to address any hazards that you discover as a result of your risk assessment.
- The details of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999.
- The situations in which you should perform a formal risk assessment.
This course consists of three sections:
Section 1: hazards and risks
Risk assessments are not necessary for every risk you identify. With this in mind, the first section of this course defines risks and hazards and explains how to identify when a risk assessment is required.
Section 2: the five steps to risk assessment
Section 2 details the five-step process to completing an effective risk assessment, including examples of the types of risk that might be faced in the workplace, as well as techniques for making plans to address the risks you identify.
Section 3: risk assessment tool
Section 3 introduces a simple interactive tool that will help you to design and perform your own risk assessments. You can access this tool for free by registering here.
