Overview
Risk assessments are essential for ensuring that any incidents that have previously occurred do not occur again. Organisations must undertake risk assessments to show their commitment to The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999.
This online training course teaches the user about the 5 steps of a risk assessment, as well as how to create a plan of action for the hazard you find. Additionally, the course teaches the user when they should fill out a risk assessment and when they are not necessary.

Course Contents
This course consists of three sections:
Section 1: hazards and risks
Risk assessments are not necessary for every risk you identify. With this in mind, the first section of this course defines risks and hazards and explains how to identify when a risk assessment is required.
Section 2: the five steps to risk assessment
Section 2 details the five-step process to completing an effective risk assessment, including examples of the types of risk that might be faced in the workplace, as well as techniques for making plans to address the risks you identify.
Section 3: risk assessment tool
Section 3 introduces a simple interactive tool that will help you to design and perform your own risk assessments. You can access this tool for free by registering here.
About the Course
The Risk Assessment Training course explains how and why to perform a risk assessment in accordance with UK legislation, including the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999.
Simple and focused, this course teaches participants how to identify when a risk assessment is necessary and what qualifies as a risk or hazard, before demonstrating how to complete a risk assessment form in detail, and the types of control measures that you can put in place to reduce identified workplace hazards to a safe level.
