LOLER Training
Overview
This online training course aims to teach the user how they can best avoid accidents during any lifting operations in their workplace. It can cost an organisation up to £250,000 if they do not comply with LOLER.
This course will help the user to plan safe lifting operations, select the correct equipment, and show their commitment to current legislation.

Course Contents
This course consists of five sections:
Section 1: what is LOLER?
LOLER stands for Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations, which are made up of four requirements that combine to make lifting safer. This section explains what these regulations cover and to whom they apply, as well as introducing other pieces of legislation and useful terms.
Section 2: selecting the right equipment
Section 2 focuses on how to ensure you have the right equipment, taking into consideration safe working loads, strength and stability, and the information that should come with your equipment.
Section 3: location of your equipment
Section 3 teaches you how to assess your environment in order to find the safest place to put your equipment. It considers hazardous structures and terrain, as well as the location of other people.
Section 4: planning lifting operations
Section 4 guides you through the process of assessing the risks of an operation in order to carefully plan the lift and the equipment required to execute it.
Section 5: maintenance of lifting equipment
Section 5 lists methods for keeping your equipment well-maintained to ensure it is always clean and safe to use.
